Harry Perretta's 5-Out Motion Offense, Volume 2

This is a fantastic way to play the 5-Out Motion Offense. You are given to 7 to 8 different ways you can attack the defense from a 5 Out look. It has it all to get your players moving using cuts, screens, slips, pick and roll, backdoor, and dribble drive action plays. The complete offense is broken down and demonstrated each play at a time and that is evolved into combinations of different plays you can call out and run. Coach Perretta has a number system you can use to call out plays from the bench instead of calling a timeout. Demonstraes are used from 5 on 0 to 5 on 5 action. He also has 3 on 3 play to help reinforce offensive concept taught. I highly suggest looking at purchasing this selection in addition to other 5 Out selections like Jerry Petitgoue or Bob Huggins.

This video is an excellent addition, if you already have a good understanding of the five out motion offense. I would recommend purchasing the Bob Huggins video and book on the open post offense before buying this one. Then, you can use the numbering system to maintain some level of control within the offense.

This video has influenced my offensive philosophy heavily.

Outstanding video if you already have grasp of the five out as far as cuts to the read spot, filling the five spots. The Huggins videos on open post viewed first with this as your expanding video, wow. The entire video was excellent. The numbering system will be easier for your kids to grasp. As a coach you can still have some control while letting them play the game and read the defense. This is a must for any five out coach. One of my favorite dvds and I have over 50. But if just learning five out I recommend buying Bob Huggins cut and fill motion and once you have that down watch this one! Five stars.

We have started our Post season work and first introduction to our Juniors using some modifications to the 5 out motion. Our Seniors are enjoying the ability to involve variations within the motion offense and have grasped the concepts with open hands. I especially like selling to our Seniors, the not having to have a secondary break.

This is my first ever Harry Perretta video and I have to say it's one of the best titles I have purchased from Championship Productions. Coach is ultra-specific in this selection. He shows the offense 5 vs. 0 to start, breaks it down, and then shows it in a competitive 5 vs. 5 scenario. I love that he uses his players as well. This is not a title from a clinic setting where a coach is teaching an offense to a group of stranger who have never run it. His players know the reads, how to set up for screens and cuts, etc. I've never run 5-Out before, but will have to this season because of an unprecedented lack of size in my program. I think this is easy to teach thanks to Coach Perretta's numbers system for the movements.
