Mike McGrath is the all-time wins leader in the history of University of Chicago men's basketball. Entering his 27th season as head coach in 2025-2026, he has guided the Maroons to five NCAA Division III tournament appearances and four University Athletic Association (UAA) titles. Coach Gallo successfully lead Merrimack's transition to Division I, guiding the Warriors into the Northeast Conference (NEC).

Gallo has etched his name in Merrimack history by achieving three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances between 2016 and 2018, marking the culmination of their Division II era. He further cemented his legacy by ending a 19-year conference championship drought in 2018-19 with a victory in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship game.

This success extended into their inaugural Division I season (2019-20) as Gallo led the Warriors to an NEC Regular Season Championship. This feat was even more remarkable considering Merrimack was selected last in the preseason poll. Their journey culminated in winning 14 out of 18 NEC games and securing the regular-season title outright.

Doug Gottlieb returned to his home state of Wisconsin in 2024 to become the 10th head coach in the history of the Green Bay men's basketball program. A Milwaukee native and the son of a former college coach, Gottlieb has long been a prominent figure in the basketball landscape as both a standout player and a leading national sports media personality. He took over the Phoenix program after a two-decade career in broadcasting with ESPN, CBS Sports, and FOX Sports.

Gottlieb's coaching philosophy is rooted in a deep understanding of the game developed through years of elite-level competition and analysis. He gained significant international coaching experience leading Team USA to multiple gold medals at the Maccabiah Games in Israel. Known for his communication skills and strategic insight, Gottlieb is focused on building a competitive program at Green Bay while fostering a culture of excellence on and off the court.

Bart Lundy was named the head coach of the Milwaukee Panthers men's basketball team on March 19, 2022. He is the eighth head coach since Milwaukee's 1990 move to NCAA Division I.

Lundy is one of just 22 active NCAA head coaches to reach the 500-career win milestone, a feat he achieved in January 2026. In his first three seasons at Milwaukee, he became the first head coach in the program's NCAA Division I era to claim 20-plus wins in each of his first three years on the bench.

Prior to his arrival at K-State, Mittie spent 15 seasons as the head coach at TCU, where he remains the all-time winningest coach in program history. Throughout a career spanning over three decades, he has averaged 20 wins per season and has achieved over 670 career victories, ranking him among the top active coaches in NCAA Division I. Kyle Rechlicz has returned Milwaukee to a place of prominence, headlined by three 20-win campaigns, the most in the program's Division I history. In the 2020-2021 season, she led the Panthers to a share of the Horizon League Championship and the best start in program history (15-1), earning a berth in the WNIT. Under her guidance, the program has achieved significant milestones, including the first postseason victories in school history and multiple wins over Big Ten opponents like Wisconsin and Northwestern.

Known for an up-tempo offensive philosophy, Rechlicz's teams have consistently set school and conference records for three-point shooting. During her tenure, she has developed 11 All-Conference selections and maintained a high standard of defensive excellence, with her 2020-2021 squad finishing in the top 20 nationally in both points allowed and field goal percentage defense.
