Irving "Boo" Schexnayder

Irving "Boo" Schexnayder possesses 45 years of coaching and consulting experience, and currently heads Schexnayder Athletic Consulting. He consults in a variety of sports with professional teams, NCAA programs, and foreign sports bodies in speed and power training, biomechanics, restoration, and rehabilitation, and frequently lectures on these topics. Noted for his 18 years at LSU as a track coach, he produced 26 NCAA champions, 18 Olympians, and 8 world championship/Olympic medalists and was part of 14 national championship teams. He is a member of the USTFCCCA Track Coaches Hall of Fame. He has also served as National coach for Team USA several times, including the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. An educator by profession and mentor to hundreds of coaches, he directs the educational programs of the USTFCCCA. Before LSU, he coached at Blinn College, being part of two Juco National titles, and Louisiana-Lafayette. He began his career coaching 11 years at St. James (LA) High School, in football, track, and cross country.
