This starts with Swen Nater first going through the 10 principles of the UCLA Wooden offense. The basic set is a two guard front, high post and corners. He does run this at times through the video and does go through the options and different sets, and for me these were the best parts of the video.
Besides the basic offense he does show some set players for special situations. There are no drills or breakdowns shown, which would have been nice. Also there is nothing versus a zone shown.
As an example of some of the problems on this video, there is a section on the video called "Rebounding and Defensive sets" where he talks about going into the press after a shot. He talks briefly about this and then we move on to the UCLA cut without ever showing the press or rebounding responsibilities out of the offense.
There is frequent interruption of plays already in motion when they are 5v5, detracting from what it is he is trying to show. He does share quite a few UCLA stories, but again these don't help with understanding the offense any better.
The offense is good, and you can see some of the possibilities here especially when they are 5v0. But the presentation is a bit of a mess and lacks focus and continuity. It is obvious that Swen Nater knows this offense, but it just doesn't come across well in the video. 4/5 for the offense, 2/5 for the presentation = 3/5 overall.
