With one of the hottest offenses in today’s game - Flow Offense - teams are constantly looking for advantages and wrinkles. Towson’s Pat Skerry has perfected the Flow Offense, giving his teams the tools and actions they need to play against the best in the country.

Flow Offense
Cutting and screening are everything to an offense. In today’s game, Flow Offense and allowing your players to move freely using actions gives players the freedom to play. This style of play is what Towson has used to be consistently successful over the last 10 seasons. Coach Skerry emphasizes for his players to make scoring cuts and set scoring screens.

Guided by this direction, players use spacing and post feeds to get great looks around the basket. Thinking ‘post feeds first’ allows your players to set stagger screens, run a get screen, curl screens, and use a sling cut to force defenses to chase cuts or switch screens. Coach Skerry walks you through all of these actions within the Flow Offense and how to teach players the reads they are using.

Horns Sets
Horns action is one of the most popular in today’s game. Coach Skerry has used Horns sets to get a quick hitter or create movement within his offense.

In Horns Rip, post players set a butt screen to allow a triple screen followed by a rip screen for a post player. This action gets an easy layup especially if teams chase the screen.

In Open-Close, Coach uses a Horns set to get a quick 3 after players set a down screen, ghost screen, and use an elevator to get open.

In Chase, post players use a downscreen to create an open shot while the ball handler will use a ball screen to occupy defenders. This action is great at creating attacks to the rim.
