3/5 Stars 3

I own over 100 wrestling DVDs. I own Tom Brand's Stand Up dvd and gave that one 5 stars. Out of over 100 dvds this is the only video dedicated to the Fireman's Carry that I own so I really wanted to like it & give it 5 stars. However, it is an afternoon session of him teaching the move off the top of his head to some wrestlers & its poorly organized. It has a lot of filler moments where you see Tom silently doing the move over and over again. As if by watching him only I am suppose to learn additional details of the move. I have seen a lot of 5 star dvds and this is just not 1 of them. The 5 star ones are usually scripted so they are very well organized, with introduction, basics of how to do the move, advanced details that make the moves work, then how to hit the move from different positions, then how to finish the move, then how to counter any defenses to the move and finish, then how to do drills to get good at the move. The dvd lacks this. He needs to take a page off of John Smith and Mark Ironside that have several 5 star DVDs because they are scripted & well organized & not a randomly recorded afternoon sessions to wrestlers off the top of their head. Not saying an afternoon session off the top of the head can't be 5 stars, Tom's stand up dvd was. But it is less likely and this fell into that less likely category. 3 stars- if I lost the dvd I would not re-purchase it (unlike if I lost Mark Ironside's or John Smith DVDs I'd definitely repurchase).
