I own over 70 wrestling DVDs, over 100 if you count Jiu Jitsu. So I have seen and followed instruction from dozens of teachers. Some teachers only explain how to do a move superficially & don't go over common mistakes, etc. Not so with Mark Ironside, he is fantastic. I would say that Mark Ironside is top 3 for his ability to explain, get a message across, incorporate important details of a move, and incorporate common mistakes to avoid and why. In this DVD he goes over hand fighting mentality, stance, positioning, how to close the gap between you & opponent, arm position when you approach, hand fight, heavy hand & grip principles, movement & how to unbalance opponent, head positioning during the such, 2 on 1, underhooks, head lock, and other positions and set ups. Honesty, the best Hand fighting dvd I own and I own several. His standing front headlock DVD is a great combo with this one, there he goes a little over handfighting to get to the front headlock but this is a much more in depth with many ties. Honestly this is a must have dvd. John Smith has a hand fighting DVD I won too but he goes over mostly the collar tie & how to defeat it, which is very useful. But if I had one & only 1 Handfighting DVD to buy I would say Mark Ironside's is the best in the market.
