Smith also shows what to do if you get chopped from the tight waist. Bar arms from the tight waist: Learn how to get out of 2-on-1 and bellied out situations. Ratings & Reviews Situational Wrestling from the Bottom Position on July 11, 2012 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Anonymous The king of technique did a great job again. This is comparable to his neutral position dvd on scrambling. Great skill set on maintining a base and working to counter the top man's efforts. I agree with others that it is one of the best dvd's on down wrestling along with Smith's standup dvd, Ironside's sit-back, and Askren's tripod series. 4 of 5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Like in all of his DVDs, John Smith goes into great detail with each technique. I highly recommend this if you have problems escaping rides. He doesnt teach quick standups or sitouts, but he goes over how to escape once you are caught in a tough ride. 2 of 3 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Buy this DVD, understand the concepts and drill the techniques associated with them, and you shouldn't fear being on the bottom ever again. In fact, couple this DVD with the Branch DVD on attacking from bottom, the Askren 5-pt Reversal DVD, and (if you aren't the greatest at standing up) either Smith's Stand-up or Ironside's Sit Back DVDs, and it could just change your entire mindset. A wrestler is far more dangerous when he doesn't panic on bottom. 5 of 5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? It is the longest one I have seen of his and he covers all kinds of helpful situations that a wrestler should know how to react in. I am looking forward to teaching this during the off season so my wrestlers will be better prepared for next season. We can't get off bottom to save our lives!!! I am glad I bought this, 5 stars!!!! 2 of 2 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?
