The techniques he presents work especially well for those wrestlers who don't have that "explosive" burst when attacking, or for those times when you get stopped in the middle of your takedown attempt. He begins by showing you his keys to proper positioning for finishing a takedown. He then covers single leg and high crotch finishes, as well as finishes for when you get stuck underneath on a takedown attempt and techniques versus a sprawl and a crack back. I give this 4.5 stars. Askren covers some very difficult & unique finishes in a very detailed manner. I strongly recommend this DVD for advanced high school wrestlers looking for an extra edge to get to the platform at state competition. Combine this DVD with his "Funk" DVD and your wrestler wil become lethal.

This is a top-notch DVD. A lot of the material is covered elsewhere, but Askren has a pretty unique take on a lot of these things, particularly in terms of countering scramble-type defense that you do not see on other DVDs. He talks about finishing the single up high, finishing on the mat, finishing from the crackdown, and a few other things.

This is the best dvd I have purchased from Championship Productions dealing with wrestling on the feet. Definately in the top 3 out of all 30 plus that I have bought. This dvd covers exactly what the description says and it is very thorough. I will definately be buying another Ben Askren DVD soon.

This is by FAR one of the best DVD's out there on takedowns. I've been able to use every move on the DVD. The way Mr. Askren breaks things down and goes through the techniques can't be beat. I like this DVD too because he shows moves that work well if you're not that fast or strong. 5 out 5 no question.
