Inside, you'll see how longtime Coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth and her staff prep their team after scouting their upcoming opponent. After warm-ups and individual skill sessions, the coaches get players ready for what the upcoming opponent will do on game day. You will hear Coach Bernthal Booth provide input to players and make necessary adjustments to exploit their opponent's offense and defense.

Individual Focus & Combination Drills

Players are taught to focus on creating an early and soft passing platform, while emphasizing quick footwork with different passing drills. Bernthal Booth also presents other individual focus skill drills that have players strategize in a competitive environment. You'll see drills like Server/Passer/Catcher, the Tennis Drill, and 3-on-3 co-op.

Next, Coach Bernthal Booth puts individual skills together to create more game-like situations with a control first ball. You'll hear her and her staff provide instructions and corrections while players work on blocking reps, reacting to sets, digging reps with targets, and controlled 6's.

Scouting Offense and Defense Drills

The Creighton coaches provide information to players on upcoming opponents and incorporate the scouting reports into their drills with quick repetitions. You'll see how Bernthal Booth and her staff provide continuous adjustments to defending against the opponent's attack and defense.
