Bob Montrose, owner of Peak Performance Training Camps, passes on some of the on-ice stations that he uses at his own camps. He includes drills that that work to improve the skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting skills of your players. Montrose shows exactly how to keep all of your athletes on their toes and having fun while learning essential hockey skills at the same time.

On the Whiteboard, On the Ice

Coach Montrose starts at the whiteboard to describe what each drill is, how the drill relates to the game, and how the drill will be performed. Then he moves to the ice with players who demonstrate each drill. When needed, Montrose stops, resets the drill, and adds his thoughts on how the drill correlates to the real game. Perhaps most impactful is Montrose's method of organization on the ice, which can save your program time and money (especially if you have to rent out time on the rink!).
