All Access Cornell Hockey Practice with Mike Schafer

Go behind the scenes with the Cornell hockey program as you follow Coach Mike Schafer through three up-tempo hockey practices.

Through live practice sessions, Coach Schafer and staff demonstrate proven drills you can implement into your program. Discover drills that will help your goaltenders and players get warmed up while improving individual skills. And drills involving team play concepts and small area games to develop your players while having fun in a competitive environment.

You will see how Schafer communicates with his players in white board, pre-practice locker room meetings, during the execution of the drills and in team huddles between drills.

All drills are run at high tempo and designed to be executed with maximum levels of intensity. These drills target very specific aspects of the Cornell hockey program and demand that players perfect the basic skills needed to build a solid foundation for competing at the college level.

The two greatest concepts behind this series of practices are the simplicity in drill design and the importance of communication between players on and off the ice.
