I'm a coach for a long time Wing-T team. We compete in a league where it's very difficult to match the size and speed of our opponents week in and week out. Using the deception of the traditional Wing-T, we manage to compete well and usually make the playoffs, but we're struggling to "take the next step". Last year, of our own volition, we dabbled with implementing our own version of a Pistol-T with immediate success, but limited implementation and adoption. I wanted more so, when I found Coach Stewart's comprehensive implementation of a true Pistol-T, I was excited and immediately bought his DVDs. All I can say is WOW!
First, Coach Stewart is true to the Wing-T. This isn't some diguise for another offense as I've seen from other coaches. This is the Wing-T, but with all the advantages provided by the Pistol formation. In particular, his implementation of a quick passing game and a small Veer package will surely be priceless extensions to our Wing-T arsenal.
Second, his implementation (terminology) is very simple such that I was able to put it into action in just a few hours of study. I firmly believe our struggles to implement in-game blocking and route adjustments with traditional Wing-T terminology are over.
Third, after watching the DVDs, I had a list of questions to help me clarify some nuances, so I decided to take-up Coach Stewart on his offer to call for help. True to his word, Coach Stewart took my call immediately, spending 30 minutes on the phone answering my questions, offering his support, and even passing along a few additional words of advice.
If you're looking for a way to take your Wing-T program to the next level, I strongly recommend this DVD set. It is well worth the investment.
Coach Stewart, thank you.
