Watched a number of time. Solid explanation of the Princeton offence. I would recommend it if you are wanting to learn this offence. Was this review helpful? Yes No Winning with the Princeton Style Offense on September 23, 2014 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Anonymous Great Video. He does a great job of explain and demonstrating all the sets. Although it is a difficult offense to run and teach he does a very good job of breaking each set down for you. I highly recommend this video for anyone who is think of running a Princeton style offense. 7 of 7 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No Winning with the Princeton Style Offense on November 23, 2013 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Anonymous DO NOT buy this DVD. I own it, but about a week later I found a better, more fluid version of the Princeton Offense. First on YouTube, then I ordered it, the Princeton Continuity Offense with Jamie Angeli. For some reason Angeli's version of the offense just seems to make sense. It provides the framework of a Princeton style offense, with continuous movement and a continuous flow from one option to the next. I would definitely recommend it over DeForest's. 15 of 36 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No Winning with the Princeton Style Offense on March 11, 2013 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Mike ODonnell Coach DeForest's presentation of the Princeton offense is outstanding for anyone wanting information on this highly effective style of offense. He is able to unravel some of the more intricate aspects of/keys to this attack while still challenging the viewer to mix and match the basic entries. Although I had spent a considerable amount of time trying to decipher the Princeton offense through other materials before purchasing this DVD, I found Coach DeForest's plan valuable in terms of demonstrating the essential components of the offense. After viewing this DVD, it was much easier (and more informative for me) to watch other Princeton-based teams (ex. Northwestern, Richmond, Oregon State) and have it make sense. I would rate "Winning with the Princeton Style Offense" a 5 star purchase. It is well put together and it moves along smoothly without overloading the viewer. I believe that this offense (or aspects of it) could be effectively employed by youth teams as well high school varsity squads. Coach DeForest also utilizes game footage of his HS squad to emphasize specific sets and plays. 4 of 5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No Winning with the Princeton Style Offense on September 11, 2012 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by JeffByrne29 Just purchased and watched this dvd and it's great. Love how he explains the little things in the offense which I had missed by just seeing the drawings on various sites. Wish I would have bought this before I put in any of the offense just from paper. I would tell anyone to buy this for almost any level because it teaches players to play with out the ball which younger kids aren't really taught. The only thing I would like to have seen more is some break down drills but all in all one of the best buys I have ever made. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? I liked the live footage that shows the offense really working in action, its a pretty offense when its firing on all cylinders. I would recommend this one to anyone looking to run or better understand the Princeton offense. 8 of 8 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No Winning with the Princeton Style Offense on July 7, 2010 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Stinkfist0 This is a great video and IMO the best one available on the Princeton offense in terms of content covered and applicability to a high school level team. We run this with our team except we do not use Chin or the associated "Strongside" counter. If the ball is dribbled high or passed high, we simply enter "Point". This offense is actually easy to learn but like any offense takes time to master. 5 of 5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No Winning with the Princeton Style Offense on April 26, 2010 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Anonymous Solid video. If you are looking to run your offense out of a 4 out, 1 in style that becomes 5 high at times, you may like it. There is solid instruction on the board, and then his players run through it. It's also great to see some high school footage of each set when it is successful in a game. This is a complicated offense because of the reads required...if you put the time in though, it is probably rewarding. However, I think you can definitely take bits and pieces and mold it into your system. The Chin series in the video is very similar to Jicha's 2 Guard Front Michigan style offense...his offense has different entries and starts from a 5 high set. 6 of 6 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?
