Ratings & Reviews Kevin Boyle: How to Win with Undersized Players on March 28, 2015 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by rljosephson I thought this was a solid video that gave me a lot of general concepts to explore further on being successful with undersized players. You will get some basic motion principles to spread the floor and play off dribble penetration. He will also give you a couple options from a set play that utilizes your big at the high post. He includes a lot of breakdown drills for both of these offensive options which I really liked. On defense, you get just some general ideas of how to be effective. He does breakdown some concepts for a man-to-man press. Again, Boyle does a good job of giving several big concepts to pursue with an undersized team. If you want specific information on how to implement these ideas, I would encourage you to look for a more dedicated video on 4-out motion (Sherri Coale, Jamie Dixon), Princeton offense (Pete Carril), or man-to-man pressure (Shaka Smart). 5 of 5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Felt there was very little substance. The subject matter, winning with undersized players, is one of particular interest but this DVD failed to really address it (coaches should instead look at Brad Stevens tape which is tremendous). Think the world of coach Boyle (and of champ productions), but was very disappointed with my purchase 6 of 7 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? At some time, all teams come across a situation where they are over matched and must know how to win with undersized players. Coach Boyle had some great ideas that were well-presented and easy to understand. I plan on purchasing more of Coach Boyle's videos in the future. 17 of 18 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?
