Jay Wright's unique ability to teach proper fundamentals and footwork was key to the sustained, consistent success of his Villanova program. All of his players, regardless of their position, used the skills they learned in Jay Wright's practices to gain an edge over powerful opponents year after year. Wright defines four major scoring areas on the floor: wing, prime time (block), mid-post (off block), and slot (high post) positions. Because his players come from different backgrounds and systems, his ability to instill solid footwork into all his players is impressive. His motto is that "Players must be comfortable on either foot" so his workouts focus on pivoting on both the inside and the outside foot from both sides of the floor and why both are important. Wright demonstrates his Jab Series which creates potent scoring options from anywhere on the floor. Taught with or without the use of a screen, this series forms the bedrock for perimeter effectiveness at Villanova. A complement to the Jab Series is the Swing Series that incorporates the reverse pivot, bully move and two-footed hop jumpers. Jay Wright's instruction will greatly enhance your team's ability to attack on offense and score more points!

Unbelievable DVD on footwork. If you want to learn how to pivot on both feet, this is the DVD to own. Phenomenal job by Coach Wright and players showing the progression on footwork. A must-have for coaches who want their team to improve their footwork!

Solid DVD shows rocker step, pivoting off either foot. Swing series is ripping ball thru when forced to catch with outside pivot. Jab series and rocker step when catching off inside pivot. Some nice drills and a great teacher. Solid purchase.

Wright was ahead of the game. This video from 2006 is more apt today than it was then. His teaching of pivots and attacks off both feet is imperative in being able to attack from the perimeter in today's attacking-style offenses. He shows how to use each pivot foot coming off screens and off wing catches. His simple jab and swing series complement one another and his verbal cues create excellent teaching points. It's not surprising that 'nova has had the run they are currently experiencing!

This is a great DVD from Jay Wright. This DVD was produced in 2006, and although it is now 12 years later, this DVD is still VERY relevant and the Jay Wright system is still very much the same. In this DVD Jay Wright gives you the skill development he uses for his 4 out/1 in Motion offense. Yes, he was still using very similar skill development today that he was using in 2006, which is why this DVD is still great as it still reflects what Villanova has done in their 2016 and 2018 National Championships.

If you are running the 4 out 1 in offense, you need to buy this, as well Jay Wright's Individual Skill Development DVD. In that DVD it is an actual practice and they go through the very same skill development moves but there is less explanation as it is a practice (it also gets into 5 on 5). In this DVD there is a lot more instruction behind each drill from Jay Wright and you really get to hear the "why" behind their skill development. The two DVD's are very complimentary of each other and give you as deep of a look as you can get into the Villanova offense. You get the "why" in this DVD and the "how" in the Open Practice one.

This DVD is a clinic instruction but it is at Villanova with his own players, which is so much better than the clincs at a high school with players the coach doesn't know. All in all it is a great DVD which is relevant and informative.

One of my all-time favorite DVDs! "Footwork makes you quick" is what this is all about. Wright does a splendid job of teaching shooting progressions and teaching players to attack the basket efficiently off either foot, inside and out. I use much of his player development with my players and they have grown emmensely! Thanks Jay!

This video was fantastic! I think it's a must for every high school and junior high school coach to own. Footwork is so underrated and Jay Wright does a tremendous job teaching the inside pivot and when to use the outside pivot on the perimeter. I use something from this video everyday in my guard breakdown drills for HS and AAU.

Loved this DVD. Footwork is one of the undertaught skills in basketball. I think we assume kids have it or can pick it up instinctively.
