All Access Basketball Practice with Kevin Boyle

I would give it a 5. All Kevin Boyle dvd's have little coaching gems and insights. I think you will come away with 2 or 3 new ideas. I love his trap series and the way he guards the low post.
At the end, he shows 4 very good plays that are really hard to defend.

Was very eager to receive the video because of the prestige of the coach and the program. There was lots of drills but I felt myself wanting more instruction.

Much of the focus was on progression of drills (footwork and fast-break, etc) building up to game speed situations, but watching the video, made me feel as though I was a parent at one of the practices who came in one day. It would have been nice to have more instructional commentary before or after a repetition to help define the corrections and expectations of the staff.

Overall a really good video to toughen up your team and provide skill work.

Great DVD! Love the breakdown drill building into the fastbreak. Also the fact that coach teaches the importance of proper pivoting is a nice wrinkle and often ignored teaching point. Outstanding defensive teacher with great intensity. This was an outstanding addition to my collection and will help us this season.

Kevin boyles intensity is great.
Can see the differences between high school and college in the quality of players but knowing some of these guys are now playing for great college teams or nba shows how good kevin boyle is at developing players.
This dvd has made me a fan of boyle and 1 practice is not enough.
I have played and coached high level in australia so can understand what is happening as it goes along.these all access videos are great.will look to add more with my tom izzo one with coaches who loke the same principles as myself.

Great video with lots of information, plays, drills, and etc. There is a reason he has won 3 straight High School National Titles.

Great DVD. It shows lots of man to man drills that are easy to teach and do. I also liked the fast break drills at the beginning and the options for early offense off of the break.

Great "All-Access" DVD. I gave this DVD a solid 5-Star rating. Why? Great quality coaching by coach Boyle. Great teaching by the coach. The fastbreak part of the DVD (which is the first phase) is excellent. Nothing really fancy about the drills just solid coaching. Also another part of the FB section is the introduction of the sideline fastbreak. Again, great instruction by coach Boyle. He makes sure the players are making the right reads and proper passes.

Plus the FB sections leads into secondary option out of the break. Great stuff.

Another phase of the offensive side of the DVD is the "Decision" part. This is where guards are making reads on what the defender is doing in a halfcourt set. There are four phases in this stage. Great for point guards, wing players, and post players to learn how to read and react to what the defense is doing. 5-Stars.

This DVD goes over footwork(Pivoting)-the lost art of basketball and I am glad that coach Boyle covered this section. PLayers do not know how to get in triple threat postion and I am glad that coach covered this part. 5-Stars on that right there.

Defensive Side. This is where coach Boyle shines the best in this DVD. Again the normal drills, zig-zag, and trace the ball. But it is the quality of the coaching that makes this DVD worth the price, and for the price this is a steal of a deal!!!!

I mean the Zig-Zag drill without the ball makes sense. You have to get the DVD to see what coach is talking about. The "Chase" drill is solid. Trace the ball drill is excellent. Handling screens. You are covered with this DVD. If I could give this DVD a 10-Star rating, I would. I see why coach Boyle was named COY three times.

Lastly, the reason why I gave this DVD a 5-Star rating, coach Boyle took time out of his busy schedule to answer questions about some of the drills in this DVD. The guy is super busy. I can imagine how many emails he receives daily. But to take time to answer an email speaks volumes about coach Boyle. Now who knows if it was actually him responding to my question. I just like the fact that he/they responding to my question.

So if you buy this DVD, you will not be disappointed. Great instructions all around.

For $39.99 I really enjoyed this DVD. Boyle keeps it pretty simple but very intense and detailed. Will be able to apply many concepts he went over with our high school team.
