Earlier in his career, Sweeney was the video coordinator for the University of Northern Iowa and the director of basketball operations at the University of Evansville. He also held assistant coaching positions at the Anoka Ramsey Community College (Cambridge, MN) and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

In just his second season at Western Carolina, Coach Gray led a remarkable turnaround, guiding the Catamounts to their first postseason berth in six years and a leap from 10th to 4th in the conference standings. The season was capped by a trip to the 2023 College Basketball Invitational -- only the fourth postseason appearance in program history.

Gray's rapid success at Western Carolina earned him the head coaching position at Coastal Carolina in 2024.

In his first season as head coach, Martelli led the Black and Gold to their second 20-win season in DI program history. In addtion, the Bulldogs achieved their first-ever victory over a top-10 team by defeating No. 10 FAU in Boca Raton.

Bryant finished 11-5 in league play, securing the No. 3 seed and advancing to the America East Semifinals for the first time.

Following the season, Martelli was named a finalist for both the Hugh Durham National Mid-Major Coach of the Year and the Joe B. Hall Award, which honors the top first-year coach. The 20 wins were the most by a first-year Bryant coach since 1968-69 and the fifth-most of any first-year coach nationally.

Jeff Mittie, one of the top active coaches in NCAA Division I, has amassed 644 career wins over 32 seasons, ranking 16th among active coaches.

Before taking over at Kansas State in 2014, he had successful tenures at Missouri Western (1989-92), Arkansas State (1995-99), and TCU (1999-2014). Across those stops, he won nine conference titles and earned five conference coach of the year honors.

Mittie led K-State to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including a 26-win season in 2023-24, the program's best in over two decades. His teams have consistently demonstrated defensive excellence, setting program records in blocked shots and field goal percentage defense.

His career accolades include being named to the 2024 Naismith Women's Coach of the Year Late Season List, along with past coach of the year honors in the Mountain West, Conference USA, WAC, and MIAA.

Chad Myers is the head coach of Link Academy's National High School basketball team in Branson, Missouri. In 2023, Myers lead the program to a 2023 GEICO National Championship.

Before Link Academy, he was an assistant at New Mexico State (2022-23) and previously coached at IMG Academy, where he posted a 55-4 record with two National Tournament appearances.

Myers also led programs at Massanutten Military Academy and Elev8 Academy, developing numerous Division I and NBA players.

As of the 2024-25 season, he continues to guide Link Academy, ranked No. 1 nationally in preseason rankings.

Tevon Saddler was named head coach for the Nicholls State University men's basketball team on April 20, 2023.

As a first-year head coach, Saddler was named a finalist for the Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year and the Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year. He also led Nicholls to its eighth 20-win season in school history, setting the record for most wins (20) and Southland victories (13) for a first-year head coach.

Before taking the helm at Nicholls, Saddler spent a season at the University of Maryland as the director of player personnel. In his lone year with the Terps, the team won 22 games, including a victory over No. 1 Purdue and a first-round NCAA Tournament win over West Virginia.

Saddler also served as an assistant coach at McNeese State University in 2021-22.

In his first stint at Nicholls, Saddler worked as the director of basketball operations under head coach Austin Claunch. Over two years, the Colonels posted a 39-17 overall record, going 29-7 in conference play and capturing the 2020-21 regular season championship.

In 2018-19, Saddler was a graduate assistant at the University of South Alabama under former Nicholls head coach Richie Riley.

Bob Starkey, who was on the LSU's Women's Basketball coaching staff during five Final Four appearances, returned to Baton Rouge in April 2022 to serve as the associate head coach on Coach Kim Mulkey's staff.

Starkey played a pivotal role in leading the Tigers to their first national championship in 2023, primarily working with the post players and crafting key defensive strategies.

With over 30 years of SEC coaching experience, Starkey has coached at LSU, Auburn, and Texas A&M, accumulating 790 career wins and 24 NCAA Tournament appearances. His coaching legacy includes mentoring NBA and WNBA stars such as Shaquille O'Neal, Seimone Augustus, and Sylvia Fowles, and his teams have been consistently among the best defensively in the country.

Donnie Tyndall has been the head coach of Chipola College's men's basketball team since 2020, leading the Indians to five consecutive Panhandle Conference championships. He was named Panhandle Conference Coach of the Year each season. Under his guidance, Chipola achieved three straight NJCAA Tournament appearances from 2021 to 2023, a feat previously accomplished only once in the school's history.

Before joining Chipola, Tyndall held head coaching positions at Morehead State, Southern Miss, and Tennessee, earning accolades such as Ohio Valley Coach of the Year in 2008.

Alvin Brooks III, a seasoned basketball coach with over two decades of experience, currently serves as the associate head coach for the University of Kentucky men's basketball team.

Before joining Kentucky in 2024, Brooks spent eight years at Baylor University, where he contributed to the Bears' 2021 NCAA Championship victory and helped secure multiple Big 12 titles. His coaching journey includes successful stints at Kansas State, Sam Houston State, Bradley, and junior colleges like Arkansas-Fort Smith and Midland, where he was part of two NJCAA national championship teams.

A Houston native, Brooks played collegiate basketball at Midland College and Idaho State, earning Academic All-Big Sky honors. He is the son of Alvin Brooks II, head coach at Lamar University.
