Ratings & Reviews 15 Keys to Developing a Great Team Culture on December 28, 2025 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by JellyBean2144 I really enjoyed the coaching gems that Coach Hughes offered in this video. No coaching drills were offered just Coach Hughes sharing some wonderful coaching tips on developing a team and team culture. Such as being more focused on developing the character of a player and not focusing on winning. The wins will come but the development of a player's character is more important. That was a gem. Another gem was "Building a team with Teammates" and coach gave an example of a core player on his team seeing where another teammate, a bench player, had the hot hand. Coach was about to motion the core player back into the game, but the core player was like "Nah, Coach. Let the role player shine. She got the hot hand", so Coach let the role player continue on playing. That was a great moment of where a core player. A staple of the roster saw that another player was in the groove and did not want to mess up the vibe. That was a great example of team player. This was just a few examples from Coach Hughes and his humble approach to building team culture. I think another example that makes this a 5-Star video, is that Coach Hughes was not given anything. He went through the trenches and paid his dues. 16 years as an assistant coach waiting for his moment to be the head coach and it shows in how he approached the game. 5-Star.
