New Lacrosse DVDs Featuring Lars Tiffany!

Arizona Wins 2008 Men’s & Women’s Swimming / Diving Championships!

The University of Arizona Wildcats won their first Men’s and Women’s Swimming Title at the 2008 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.   Head Coach Frank Busch was named the NCAA Swimming Coach of the Year for the Men and Women. 

The Wildcat women finished with 484 team points, 136 points ahead of Auburn (348 points).  Stanford finished third with 343 points.

The Wildcat men finished with 500 team points, followed by Texas (406 points) and Stanford (344.4 points).

#1 Seeds Advance to the Men’s Final Four!

Memphis, Kansas, North Carolina, and UCLA will arrive in San Antonio in quest for the 2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.  For the first time ever, the four #1 seeds have advanced to the Final Four.  The teams arrive with a combined record of 143-9.  Each program has won their conference championship (regular season & tournament), and are riding a 11+ game winning streak (Kansas & Memphis 11, UCLA 14, North Carolina 15).  This final four has some power and Saturday’s match-ups should be interesting:

Geno Auriemma Named WBCA Coach of the Year!

The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association named Connecticut Head Coach, Geno Auriemma, as the 2008 Russell/ WBCA Division I National Coach of the Year.  Auriemma was also named the 2008 Big East co-coach of the year as he guided the Huskies to a 15-1 record in the Big East and an overall record of 33-1.

Auriemma is a 5X NCAA Champion, 17X Big East Champion, and holds a career record of 655-121.  He is also a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.
