Dick Bennett: The "Pack-Line" Pressure Defense

We are putting this in this season. I'm really hype about using this defense. But I'm wondering if Tony Bennett is using game plan as his father? Can anyone answer that for me plz?. Cause im had someone tell me that it was different .

Good, but not great DVD. If you are interested in learning the principles of a grind it out half court M2M defense, this is for you. Covers all areas fairly well, but a lack of discussion on options defending on ball screens is a noticeable omission for me

Great starter for running the pack line. also good to give an assistant joining your staff whom isn't familiar with the pack.

This DVD was packed full of information. We put in several of the drills immediately and saw results pretty quickly. This DVD is good even if you aren't planning on running the pack line defense.

this is a great video. I learned a lot about the pack line D and even though it appeared to show the basics I was able to get something out of it to teach to my team. I was looking for a defense that had easy to grasp concepts and this one was it

Great video. Like I read in a previous review I too, wish there would have been more progression. Going to buy Coach Boone's video right now.

One of the best instructional videos I've seen regarding setting up a defense. The additional game footage to show how it works at game speed was helpful also. Only question I have is how he would trap/rotate to the post if a team was 4 out/1 in instead of 3 out/2 in, but all coaches will likely adapt it to situations anyway. Overall, I could watch Dick Bennett videos over & over. Great teacher and obviously successful.

I think Dick Bennett is a great teacher. I learned a lot about the Pack Line from this video. I bought both this one and the Pack Line Pressure Defense by Jim Boone. I think buying them both was the way to go, but if I had to pick one, I'd probably buy Boone's.

I think this video would have gotten 5 stars if Bennett had shown a teaching progression for the pack line. I saw a lot of duplication in the drills between this and Boone's DVD, but I thought Boone had more instruction.

Great DVD! My program has had much success with the Pack-Line defense. Coach Bennett is a great coach and a great teacher. He covers pretty much all aspects of the Pack-Line defense.

Worth watching to get an idea of a different defensive philosophy. I think it can be adapted to suit a team's needs.

I thought that this video was ok and had some good drills but I did not agree with some of his defensive philosophies. I liked Bob Knights man to man defense much better.

5 Star DVD. Drills are easily adaptable for middle school and/or high school teams. I also liked how he explained the reasoning for each of his drills. Well worth the money!!!

Dick Bennett explains his Pack-Line defense clearly and demonstrates important points to follow. Would recomend tape to anyone who wants to improve inside defense.

A great DVD - very simplified concepts, demonstrated in a simple way with good teaching points. Would definitely recommend this style of man-to-man defense for any coach who wants to be able to simplify the fine points of team man-to-man defense.

Very usable on highscool level. Its like building a fort around your basket. Players understand it and exicute quickly.
I think it's basic stuff!

In conjunction with Sean Miller's video plus some written material, Dick Bennett's video convinced me to switch to the packline defense. We were able to lower our ppg allowed by 10 a game and we led the city in fewest ppg allowed. If you don't have quick and athletic players but they are smart and work hard, this is a system that will allow you to compete and stay in games. We had an 8 game improvement in one year with this defense. Very highly recommended!

Very good video. Coach Bennet does a nice job defining and explaining his pack line video. Personally, I got more out of Sean Miller's, but this was very good as well and could be due to the fact that I watched this video first so I understood the defense more while watching Coach Millers.

This is one of the best defensive tapes I have seen. If not the best. Has several great individual and team defensive drills.

If you are looking to improve your man defense. You can't go wrong with this DVD.

This is an outstanding video. The topic is well presented in a simple and easy to follow manner. The defensive rotations are simple yet extremely effective. I believe the Pack Line Defensive is a tough defensive system to score against from within 15 feet. Dick Bennette is superb at presenting his defensive philosophy.

Buy this DVD! It is worth the price and you can’t say that about many of them.

I thought this video was outstanding. Gets you into the mind of Coach Bennett. The extra clips at the the end were very helpful. Also shows that Coach Bennett wants a quality product out under his name.
