Additionally, Minnesota edged the Phoenix Mercury 80-79 on Thursday night to advance to the WNBA semifinals, which will kick off this Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Coach of the Year award was Reeve&#8217;s third (&#8217;11, &#8217;16, &#8217;20) and moves her into a tie with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.championshipproductions.com\/cgi-bin\/champ\/auth\/2255\/Van-Chancellor.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.championshipproductions.com\/cgi-bin\/champ\/auth\/2255\/Van-Chancellor.html\" target=\"_blank\">Van Chancellor<\/a> (&#8217;97, &#8217;98, &#8217;99) and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.championshipproductions.com\/cgi-bin\/champ\/auth\/3734\/Mike-Thibault.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.championshipproductions.com\/cgi-bin\/champ\/auth\/3734\/Mike-Thibault.html\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Thibault<\/a> (&#8217;06, &#8217;08, &#8217;13) for the most in WNBA history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/lynx.wnba.com\/news\/cheryl-reeve-named-2020-wnba-coach-of-the-year\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/lynx.wnba.com\/news\/cheryl-reeve-named-2020-wnba-coach-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a press release<\/a> from the Lynx:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Under Reeve\u2019s tutelage, the Lynx have compiled&nbsp;232&nbsp;wins over the last&nbsp;10&nbsp;seasons, the most prolific&nbsp;decade&nbsp;run in WNBA history, and&nbsp;have&nbsp;won&nbsp;four&nbsp;WNBA Championships (2011, 2013,&nbsp;2015&nbsp;and 2017). Since taking over in 2010, Reeve\u2019s&nbsp;67.7%&nbsp;winning percentage (245\u2013117) ranks first in league history.
