Joe LeBlanc, University of Northern Colorado assistant coach and four time All-American at the University of Wyoming, runs through a turn from the claw position. By twisting the opponent onto their back, you’ll be able to position yourself to attempt the fall and win in dramatic fashion.

Turn from the Claw

Drill Summary: From a claw position, take a step behind your opponent and put your knee in the middle of their back. Next, pull up and extend their body while you twist them over. Fall back at an angle and place your hand over their shoulder so you can grab your own elbow. From there, move your leg to flank between your opponent’s legs and don’t pull your opponent on top of you (keep them extended). After that, you can go for the fall.
