Since her arrival to Iowa State as head coach in 2004, Johnson-Lynch has redirected the program's legacy to one of winning and high performing finishes year after year. In 2025, Iowa State was back to the NCAA tournament, the 17th time in 21 seasons with Johnson-Lynch at the helm and made it back to the second round for the 9th time in her career.

In November 2024, she became the third ranked volleyball coach in Big XII history in wins by notching her 207th Big XII victory. In November 2025, Johnson-Lynch hit the 400 win milestone. Over her storied career, she has had ten seasons with 20 or more wins, including the 27 win 2009 season and in 2018 when Iowa State won the NIVC Championship.

In 2022, Johnson-Lynch was named the AVCA Central Region Coach of the Year. In 2009, Johnson-Lynch was named the Big XII Coach of the Year, the Asics/Volleyball Magazine National Coach of the Year and the AVCA Central Region Coach of the Year. Her involvement at the national level included a term on the AVCA Board of Directors and as AVCA President in 2018.

As an athlete, she was a 2x All American at Nebraska (setter) and a member of Nebraska's first NCAA Championship team in 1995. A member of the 1989 US Junior National Team, a member of the 1993 US National 'B' Team and won a league championship as a member of the Nebraska Tornadoes in 1988

The 2024 Triple Crown Volleyball "Heart of Sport Award"- winning Co-Director, Owner and Coach of Municiana - Mike Lingenfelter - was named the AVCA Club Coach of the Year - the #1 club coach in the US - in 2021.

Coach Lingenfelter has been a volleyball coach since his playing days at Ball State University.

His storied career includes coaching at the college level (Cincinnati - 5 years, Memphis - 2 years), the high school level (Wapahani HS in Selma, IN - 3 state Championships) and as Co-Director and Coach of the Muncie, Indiana- based Munciana since 2006. Where he has coached 7 National Championship teams!

Lingenfelter's career at Munciana has been legendary -

Jenny Glenn has taken one of the most successful volleyball programs in Division II history to unprecedented heights during her ten years as the Roadrunners' head coach.

Heading into the 2025 season, she had compiled an overall record of 220-50 (.814 winning percentage), including a staggering mark of 139-9 in regular-season RMAC play for a .939 winning percentage.

She capped off year ten with a 29 - 3 season - another RMAC Regular Season Championship, the RMAC Tournament Championship, being named the 2025 RMAC Coach of the Year and then leading her team all the way to the NCAA D-II National Championship - MSU Denver's first ever National Championship in any sport! Post-regular season, Glenn was also named the 2025 AVCA South Region Coach of the Year - the third time having earned this distinction!

• Alyssa Boyte - earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention recognition, D2CCA All-America honors (Third Team), named the D2CCA South Central Region Middle Blocker/Hitter of the Year, First Team All-Region (D2CCA & AVCA), RMAC Defensive Player of the Year, RMAC Tournament MVP, NCAA South Central Region All-Tournament Team, named the RMAC Academic Player of the Year and RMAC First Team All-Academic
• Annika Helf - earned AVCA First Team All-America selection, D2CCA First Team All-Region, AVCA First Team All-Region, RMAC First Team, RMAC All-Tournament Team, NCAA South Central Region All-Tournament Team, RMAC First Team All-Academic

Karyna Werley - earning AVCA Second Team All-America honors, RMAC Freshman of the Year, D2CCA South Central Region Freshman of the Year (the first Roadrunner freshman ever to sweep both awards), All-RMAC First Team, AVCA First Team All-Region, D2CCA First Team All-Region, AVCA Second Team All-America

• Tyler Johnson is a mental skills and performance coach who has been working with the Positive Coaching Alliance for over 13 years.
• Prior to that he worked in the front offices of the Chicago White Sox and the Denver Nuggets and has spent time coaching high school, NCAA and team USA athletes.
• Johnson is also the host of the Elev8 Podcast, a top podcast for student-athletes & coaches, where he interviews the world's best in sports psychology and performance.
• An Iowa native, Johnson played football for the Northern Iowa Football program in college and was the team captain during his career.

Coach Frahm completed her sixth year as Head Coach at Heartland Community College by leading her team to an incredible 40 - 4 record, a 15 - 0 home record and an undefeated conference record that culminated with Heartland winning their first-ever D-II NJCAA National Championship! In addition to being named the 2025 AVCA Two-Year College Coach of the Year, she was also named the 2025 AVCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year.

Prior to 2025, the 2024 season had been the best in program history - a 39 and 8 record and a NJCAA National Tournament D-II 3rd place finish.

Coach Frahm will begin the 2026 season with an overall coaching record of 172-36 (.827 winning percentage).

Frahm came to Heartland from Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) having served as Assistant Volleyball Coach Some of the personal and team highlights and accomplishments while she was at IWU included:

• 2019 AVCA 'Thirty Under 30' Award recipient
• first ever Sweet 16 appearance
• first CCIW tournament championship since 1997
• 2x Regular Season CCIW Champions (2015 and 2018)

Coach Frahm was a four-year varsity volleyball player and two-year captain for Division II Lewis University. She earned Lewis University's Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student-athletes.

Frahm served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at IWU while earning her master's degree in sports management from Illinois State University. She also coached volleyball at Stanford (IL) Olympia HS and, while in college, coached at the youth and high school level for Club 1 Volleyball in Plainfield, IL.
