I'm a male goalie and I coach both males and females, youth through high school.
I like this video a lot (5 stars) and I highly recommend it.
First, I believe the drills in this video can be used for both males and females. For males, the focus would be more on inside shots, but the drills can be modified to include mid-range and long-range shots. For females, these are game-like situations as most shots are fairly close-range.
There are a lot of drills I've never seen before, or at least the variations with two goals. Using two goals and two goalies is a great way to get a lot of shots in a short period of time. Rather than having one goalie get all the shots while the other backs up, and then switching, both goalies are getting shots in the same drill.
For younger goalies, I'd recommend considering using soft practice balls for the close shots so that they can focus on seeing the ball and making the save rather than worrying about getting hit and hurt. Even for older goalies practicing with soft practice balls is a good way to minimize wear and tear and injuries, especially with the number of shots the goalies get in these drills.
This video does not discuss goalie technique at all. If you want to learn about goalie technique, then do not buy this video. This video is all about drills and assumes that you already know proper technique. This video is particularly good for coaches who want to learn drills that efficiently provide a lot of shots for their goalies in a short period of time, maximizing valuable practice time.
