Paul Westhead is one of the most innovative and influential coaches in basketball history. Known worldwide for developing The System, Westhead has won championships at the professional and collegiate levels by redefining pace, pressure, and offensive freedom.

In this video, you gain direct access to the principles, drills, and practice structure that power his legendary approach. Coach Westhead walks you step by step through how to teach a relentless fast break, apply full-court defensive pressure, and train players to think and act at game speed.

Westhead breaks down how speed impacts every phase of the game from transition offense and offensive rebounding to defensive denial and continuous pressure. Each drill builds toward the next, creating a seamless progression that reinforces tempo, spacing, and decision making.

You will also learn how to condition players through basketball actions rather than isolated running, allowing your team to maintain intensity while staying fundamentally sound. Through expertly demonstrated drills and teaching points, Coach Westhead shows how to keep the ball moving, eliminate hesitation, and create constant scoring opportunities.

This is a complete blueprint for installing a high-energy system that forces opponents to react, wears teams down, and creates advantages through pace and pressure on both ends of the floor.

Very disappointed in the video. If you have no idea about running and pressing you can learn a few things but it was not what I expected. I thought there would be more detail.

Really an awesome and detailed video by the guru of go! I think it’s so cool he took the time to make a detailed video with the offense and the defense! Westhead really is one of the most interesting and innovative minds of the last 40 years in the game! He won the NBA title in 1980 doing this!!!!
