Oklahoma State Assistant Coach, Zack Esposito, demonstrates perhaps the most reliable pinning combination from the near wrist in this segment. He will also provide you with tips on how to prevent your opponent from bridging.
He starts by prying down on the shoulder through a “preacher curl” motion on the arm. When a gap is created using this pry, he shoots the outside arm between the body and the arm, shoulder deep and sinks a deep half nelson control on the opponent’s head – this is the snake/cement job/double trouble. Coach Esposito finishes the hold with a hip check to keep the man flat and turns him over to his back.
