Put Opponents Into a Pinch with the Double Chicken Wing!

By Kevin Fitzpatrick - Last updated: Sunday, November 1, 2015

Oklahoma State University assistant coach, Zack Esposito, loves to get his opponents into a double chicken wing. Once a wrestler has their opponent’s arms locked behind their back, they’ll be able to roll the opponent over and get their shoulders against the mat for an impressive pin.

Double Chicken Wing

Drill Summary: When the wrestler has secured the opponent’s arm in an over bar, jump to the side of the opponent (away from the over bar). When the opponent posts with their free arm, slip your arm up and over theirs and reel it back in for a double chicken wing. From there, the wrestler can roll over and go for the pin.

A Reliable Pinning Combination to Make You a Better Wrestler!

By nate.landas - Last updated: Friday, January 17, 2014

Oklahoma State Assistant Coach, Zack Esposito, demonstrates perhaps the most reliable pinning combination from the near wrist in this segment. He will also provide you with tips on how to prevent your opponent from bridging.

Snake/Cement Job/Preacher Curl

He starts by prying down on the shoulder through a “preacher curl” motion on the arm. When a gap is created using this pry, he shoots the outside arm between the body and the arm, shoulder deep and sinks a deep half nelson control on the opponent’s head – this is the snake/cement job/double trouble. Coach Esposito finishes the hold with a hip check to keep the man flat and turns him over to his back.
