Florida, Arizona Advance to the 2010 Women’s College World Series!

The University of Arizona (coached by Mike Candrea) and the University of Florida (coached by Tim Walton) both advanced to the 2010 Women’s College World Series.  Arizona (48-11) enters  the WCWS for the 22nd time in the past 23 years by defeating BYU in NCAA Division I Super Regional play.  Florida (48-8) enters the WCWS for the third consecutive year (2008-2010) by defeating Arizona State in the NCAA Division I Super Regional.




Tim Walton Guides Florida to Regional Title; Advance to Super Regionals!

The fourth-seeded University of Florida softball team, led by head coach Tim Walton, defeated FIU 13-3 to advance to their fourth straight NCAA Super Regional.  The Gators will host the Super Regional for the third time in program history as they’ll take on Arizona State. 

The Gators are 29-21 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, and 24-9 under fifth-year head coach Tim Walton.  UF has made trips to the Women’s College World Series the past two seasons, including to the championship series last year.
