Improve Your Hockey Skills with Drills from Nate Leaman (AHCA Men’s Division I Coach of the Year)! Leaman guided the Union College Dutchmen to the school’s first Cleary Cup (Eastern College Athletic Conference regular season title) and first NCAA Division I tournament birth. Union set school records for overall wins (26) and conference wins (17) while leading the nation in power play efficiency (29.5% success rate). Union also ranked second in team defense, allowing just 2.10 goals per game.

Congratulations to Nate Leaman on being selected winner of the 2011 Spencer Penrose Award as Division I Men’s Hockey Coach of the Year. He led the Dutchmen of Union College to a first place regular season finish in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Union also set school records for overall wins (26) and conference wins (17) en route to the school’s first NCAA Division I tournament. The USCHO / CBS College Sports Division I Men’s Hockey Poll was released today (1/18/2010). Denver University stayed at #1 with 989 points (39 first place votes) followed by Miami of Ohio with 957 points (11 first place votes). The complete poll includes:
