Coach K, Duke Land Elite Point Guard

Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils have landed an elite point guard from St. Patrick (Elizabeth, NJ). Kyrie Irving, a top 20 recruit according to MaxPreps.com 2010 Top 100, made a verbal commitment to Duke on Thursday. Irving averaged 16 points per game as a junior for head coach Kevin Boyle after transferring from Kimberley Academy in Montclair, helping the team compile a 30-3 record and winning New Jersey’s Tournament of Champions.
