View Superb Takedowns from an All-American!

Virginia Tech Head Coach, Kevin Dresser, gives you some front headlock techniques from the feet. The first takedown that Coach Dresser shows is his famous Dresser Dump. The second takedown that he shows is a knee tap. The third takedown that Coach Dresser shows is a cross ankle pick. The final takedown that he shows is an ankle pick. See how you can use some of his famous moves to your advantage.

He explains how and why you may end up with a front headlock while standing and that it is important to be able to score from this position. He stresses keeping good position and not letting your opponent control your arm. He emphasizes when and how to execute these takedowns and the importance of getting back points from these holds.

Look at the two positions, (Chin & Pit and Double Overs), wrestlers need to know how to have a good front headlock series and how to properly execute the Dresser Dump. Coach Dresser also shows you how to secure a front headlock from snapping your opponent down to the mat. He then executes the Dresser Dump. Coach Dresser explains the finer points of the move and common mistakes made by wrestlers. He states that the Dresser Dump is a trick move that requires proper technique.

Championship Productions’ Authors Featured in the 2011 NWCA National Duals!

The 2011 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals, held in Cedar Falls, IA, featured multiple wrestling programs led by Championship Productions’ authors. Rob Koll guided Cornell University to the championship in the NCAA Division I division while Jim Miller guided Wartburg College to the championship in the NCAA Division III division. Below are how our author’s finished in the duals:

1st Place – Cornell University (Coached by Cornell Rob Koll, Matt Azevedo, and Jeremy Spates)
1st Place – Wartburg University (Coached by Jim Miller)
2nd Place – Virginia Tech (Coached by Kevin Dresser)
3rd Pace – Wisconsin (Coached by Barry Davis)
4th Place – Minnesota (Coached by J. Robinson)
6th Place – Oklahoma State (Coached by John Smith)

New Wrestling DVD Featuring Kevin Dresser!

We have recently released a new wrestling DVD featuring Kevin Dresser. Dresser, the head wrestling coach at Virginia Tech and 2X All-American at the University of Iowa, produced The Dresser Dump. This DVD is part of the Championship Signature Wrestling Move Series, a collection of successful moves that each wrestler mastered while competing. The series includes moves from Ben Askren, Mark Ironside, Chris Bono, John Smith, and Jon Trenge.
