Former Penn State and Ohio State Wrestling Coach, Ken Chertow, has his wrestlers show you stance & motion drills.  The three drills in this clip are great techniques to have your wrestlers execute before every practice.  Coach Chertow’s instruction creates the opportunity for gradual improvements in both team and individuals.

The drills in this segment will make your wrestlers better at takedowns. The first drill is a body fake level change. The second drill is a body fake level change into a hi-c to a double leg. The final drill is a sprawl and attack drill.

Create More Scoring Chances with Better Set-Ups!

Ken Chertow is a US Olympian and 3x NCAA All American.  Coach Chertow shows how to score from four different techniques from working the head.  The first technique is a snap down go behind which is an essential move for all wrestlers to know. He shows the proper technique and emphasizes the elbow block. The second technique he shows is the snap and shuck from wrist control. The third move is a club from the open position.

Coach Chertow states the importance of always reaching with your back hand when clubbing your opponent. The last technique that Coach Chertow shows is a club to an underhook. All of these moves are great set-ups that tire your opponent out.

High Scoring Wrestling Techniques from a U.S. Olympian!

Listen to high quality instruction from a former US Olympic Wrestler, Ken Chertow.  He was also a 3x NCAA All American.  In this video clip Coach Chertow shows the frontal assault position after you stop your opponents shot. Coach Chertow shows three different techniques from the frontal assault position. The first move he shows is the snake. Coach Chertow shows the proper position and form to execute the snake, which is an excellent 5-point move. He also shows a basic snap down-go-behind and explains the keys to do the move correctly. The last move Coach Chertow shows in this clip is the twister. This is another 5-point move that any wrestler can learn and add to their arsenal of wrestling techniques.
