Eric Akin, former 4X All-American for Iowa State University, demonstrates teaching and practicing the basic skill of the ‘Hip Heist.’ Akin’s youth wrestlers will practice X# of repetitions left, left then right, right. You will see how the ‘Hip Heist’ is a key physical skill for bottom wrestling.

Take a look at a hugely popular and useful move called the Hip-Heist. In this video Eric Guerrero, 4X NCAA Division I All-American, has his wrestlers demonstrate a drill that will help your wrestlers develop a hip-heist. The hip-heist is a skill that is essential for escaping from the bottom position.
