Must See Setting Drills to Boost Your Offense!

Here you will learn setting drills from Iowa State University Women’s Head Volleyball Coach, Christy Johnson-Lynch. The main activity you will see here is the Fan Drill. The assistant coaches will toss the ball from the right sideline toward different locations on the court. The setter must use good footwork in order to position themselves under the ball for the overhead pass.
There is also a release to spots drills that helps develop quick reactions for setting and digging.
Tips: Coaches, keep the drill game speed by making quick tosses. Athletes, make sure to stay mobile and be aware of your targets.

Christy Johnson – Lynch is the Head Volleyball Coach at Iowa State University. Johnson-Lynch was named the 2009 Big 12 Coach of the Year as she guided the Cyclones to a school record with 27 overall wins and 17 Big 12 wins. She has guided ISU to three-straight NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearances.
