University of Louisville Head Coach Anne Kordes teaches you how to implement the 4-2 offensive system. The 4-2 offensive system is an excellent formation for young teams with limited offensive ability. Watching this segment will show you the simplicity of teaching the formation.
This formation has 4 hitters and 2 setters and places 2 setters in the front row along with 1 outside hitter. One setter is in the middle at the net, the other setter is on the side and the outside hitter is on the other outside. The outside setter and hitters are slightly behind or back from the center setter. A good hitter should be stationed at the mid-line behind the setter for a quick hit at the net.
