Check out clinic instruction from world class youth volleyball coach, Cheryl Butler. Learn a series of Pass-Set-Hit where players begin playing underhand, then progress to overhand, and then finally to overhand. This fast pace drill would be a great addition to any team’s practice.
Make sure everybody on one side goes in the same direction, then switch to the other side once you complete the series. Catch each throw as if you were actually going to set, pass, or spike the ball.

Former USA National Team Libero, Sarah Drury-Petkovic, teaches you some defensive moves to allow your players to cover the court better and allow fewer points. Take a look at a technique called “The Collapse.” This is a defensive move used to dig hard driven balls in front of a player.
Players are taught how to keep the ball in front of them and dig up a playable ball on their side of the net. Make sure your athletes work on this technique slowly and extend their arms out in front.
