New Softball DVD Series featuring 250+ Drills!

We have recently produced a new softball DVD series with John Tschida titled Mega Softball Drill Series. This series contains over 250 drills to improve hitting, pitching, and fielding. This series is great for all ages because Tschida covers fundamentals, drills, and error correction.

John Tschida is the head softball coach at the University of St. Thomas (MN) and is regarded among the elite coaches in all of college softball. In 15 years of college coaching, Tschida has won three NCAA championships and became the winningest Division III coach with an overall record of 578-98. Tschida has been named NFCA Division III National Coach of the Year twice and MIAC Coach of the Year eight times!

George Wares is the Head Softball Coach at Central College (Iowa) and was inducted into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Hall of Fame in 2007. In 25 seasons at Central, Wares has compiled a 840-280-3 overall record and ranks third in victories on the all-time NCAA Division III list. Under Wares leadership, the Dutch have won four NCAA championships (1988, 1991, 1993, and 2003) and were runner-ups twice (1996 and 2001).

The University of Florida Softball Program was named Team of the Year by Easton Sports, Inc.� Congratulations to Tim Walton and his program on an outstanding season.� The 63-5 overall record is the second-best in Florida history.

Florida Softball Ends Season as WCWS Runner-Up!

The #1 ranked Florida softball program finished the 2009 season with a 63-5 overall record and were the WCWS Runner-Up.� The 2009 team set 39 records during their first-ever run to the WCWS championship series.� Led by Tim Walton, Florida ended the season with a .323 batting average, a .543 slugging percentage and a .423 on-base percentage (all bests in the program’s history).� Three Gators recorded eight single-season records, including runs scored, home runs, and slugging percentage.

Florida, Arizona Advance to 2009 NCAA Softball College World Series!

Tim Walton and Mike Candrea have guided their programs to the 2009 NCAA Softball College World Series! Walton led the #1 seeded Gators through the Gainesville Regional and Super Regional with a 5-0 record. The Gators hold a 26 game winning streak and enter the CWS with a 60-3 overall record. Candrea led the Wildcats through the Louisville Regional with a 3-0 record and the Stanford Super Regional with 2-1 record. The Wildcats enter the CWS with a 46-15 overall record.

The first round of the 2009 Women’s College World Series will be played at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, OK. The match-ups include:

#1 Florida vs. #9 Arizona
#4 Alabama vs. #5 Michigan
#3 Washington vs. #6 Georgia
#10 Arizona State vs. Missouri

Florida Softball Advances to the NCAA Super Regionals!

The #1 ranked University of Florida softball program won the Gainesville regional to advance to the Super Regionals. Coach Tim Walton guided the Gators to regional victories over Florida A & M (12-0), Texas A & M (7-1), and Lehigh (9-0) in the finals. The Gators own a 58-3 overall record and broke the SEC conference single-season home run record by hitting their 80th against Lehigh.

The Gators will take on California for the second consecutive year in the Super Regionals. California beat Oklahoma State 2-1 in the Tallahassee Regional to advance.

Florida Recieves #1 Overall Seed in 2009 Softball Championship!

Tim Walton, Head Softball Coach at the University of Florida, has guided the Gators to a 55-3 regular season record and the #1 overall seed in the 2009 NCAA Division I Softball Championship. Regional play will begin the weekend of May 15-17 and followed by Super Regionals on May 21-24. The eight Super Regional winners will advance to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City on May 28 – June 3. Good luck to all programs, including:

Eugne Lenti Reaches 1,000 Win Plateau!

Eugene Lenti, head softball coach at DePaul University, recently became the 12th softball coach in Division I to reach the 1,000 win plateau. Coach Lenti has built the DePaul program from its infancy into a national power within his 28 year tenure. Lenti has taken four teams to the Women’s College World Series, making DePaul one of only five programs since 1999 to have made four or more trips to the WCWS. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame Inductee has won 11 regular season conference championships and has reached the NCAA Tournament a total of 13 times.

We have recently released new softball DVDs featuring Tim Walton, the head softball coach at the University of Florida. In three short years, Walton has guided the Gators to a 286-116 overall record. During this span, the Gators have reached the NCAA tournament three time and were the #1 seed in the College World Series in 2008. The 2008 season marked the best in the program’s history, as the Gators set an NCAA-record with a 70-win season. Walton was named the 2008 SEC Coach of the Year and the Florida Coaching Staff was the 2007 & 2008 NFCA Southeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
