Six of the players on the team – Lori Chalupny, Whitney Engen, Ashlyn Harris, Meghan Klingenberg, Tobin Heath and Heather O’Reilly – are former University of North Carolina stars that played under decorated head coach Anson Dorrance. Dorrance has led his teams to 22 National Collegiate Championships, 20 ACC Tournament Championships and the most wins in college soccer history. Along the way, Dorrance has been named National Soccer Coach of the Year seven times.
