Ellis Johnson Accepts Offer at South Carolina

Ellis Johnson has accepted the Defensive Coordinator position from Steve Spurrier at the University of South Carolina.  Johnson was named to the same position at Arkansas a few weeks earlier, but Johnson was looking to return to his home state.  Johnson was raised in the state & began his coaching in the high school, colleges, & universities of South Carolina.  Johnson was the head coach at The Citadel & Gardner-Webb, and was the defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, Alabama, Clemson, Southern Miss, and Appalachian State.

Arkansas Hires Ellis Johnson as Defensive Coordinator

Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino hired Ellis Johnson away from Mississippi State to be his defensive coordinator.

Johnson spent the last four seasons as the defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, and before that served as the head coach at The Citadel. He also has served as defensive coordinator at Alabama, Clemson, Southern Miss and Appalachian State.

Michigan Hires Rich Rodriguez as New Head Football Coach

The University of Michigan introduced Rich Rodriguez as the New Head Football Coach!

Rodriguez has spent seven years as head coach at West Virginia University, where he led the Mountaineers to a 60-26 record, four Big East Conference titles and six consecutive bowl game bids.  Under his guidance, WVU has claimed four of the last five Big East championships and recorded three consecutive seasons (2005-07) of double-digit victories for the first time in school history. The Mountaineers recorded at least eight wins in each of the last six seasons, and since 2002 have accumulated a record of 57-16, winning 78.1 percent of its games. In 15 years of coaching, Rodriguez has a 105-62-2 record.

All New Air Raid Football DVDs from Hal Mumme!

We have just released four new football DVDs, including Hal Mumme’s Air Raid Offense 3-PackHal Mumme is the head football coach at New Mexico State University and the previous head coach at the University of Kentucky & Valdosta State University.  His Air Raid Offense is quite popular and is emulated by Chris Hatcher (Valdosta State) & Mike Leach (Texas Tech).
