Three-time All American, Hudson Taylor, gives you everything you need to know to become a successful wrestler in the upper weights. These are the same techniques he used to become Maryland’s first ever three-time All-American and its all-time winningest wrestler. See what tips you can pick up and use in your future meets!
In one of four turns demonstrated by Coach Taylor, he shows you how to change from a tight waist chop to a cross wrist and then a step through Turk. Coach Taylor then demonstrates the mistake most people make when working to turn with the Turk. Whereas many wrestlers are taught to remain perpendicular, Taylor shows that getting parallel and rotating the opponent’s hips is the best way to score near-fall from the Turk.
