The University of Arizona softball program completed the 2010 season with an overall record of 52-14 and was the 2010 WCWS Runners-Up! Head Coach Mike Candrea has led the Wildcats to 22 Women’s College World Series appearances in 23 years. During that span, Candrea has won eight NCAA national championships and finished as runner-up five times. Candrea has compiled a 1229-259-2 (.825) overall record in 35 years as head coach. A new wrestling DVD featuring Terry Brands has been recently released. The DVD, From Folk to Free: Fundamental Techniques for Building Elite Wrestlers, provides wrestlers insight on how fundamental skills and positions can be used for success at the elite level. Brands teaches you a variety of folkstyle techniques (set-ups, takedowns, turns, pins, turks) that you can apply to freestyle matches and vice versa.
Terry Brands is an Assistant Wrestling Coach at the University of Iowa. Brands is a 3X NCAA Championship Coach (2008 – 2010), Olympic Games Bronze Medalist (2000), 2X World Freestyle Champion, and a 2 X NCAA Champion at the University of Iowa.
Sixteen baseball programs, including six of the top eight national seeds, have advanced to the second round (Super Regionals) after a full weekend of exciting baseball. Super regional games consist of a best-of-three series and will be played on June11-14 with the winners advancing to the 2010 Men’s College World Series. The best-of-three match-ups include:
The Lee University baseball team, coached by Mark Brew, finished second in the 2010 NAIA World Series. In the last three seasons, Lee has finished second twice and third once. Congratulations to John Danowski and Duke Lacrosse on their 2010 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Duke defeated the University of Notre Dame (coached by Kevin Corrigan) 6-5 in overtime to give the Blue Devils their first title in program history.
