Vance Downs is the head basketball coach at Ames High School (Ames, IA). Downs was named the 2010 USA Today National Coach of the Year as he guided the Little Cyclones to Back-to-Back undefeated state championships (2009 and 2010). Ames High School finished the season ranked #3 nationally.
