Cal Ranked #4 in Preseason Water Polo Rankings!

The Preseason CWPA National Water Polo Rankings have been released for the 2009 season.  The 2008 NCAA Men’s Water Polo champions, USC, will try to defend their title and are ranked #1.  Cal, coached by Kirk Everist, received 83 points and are ranked #4.   Below is the rest of the preseason rankings:

New DVDs from Iowa Field Hockey!

Tracey Griesbaum has recently released two new field hockey DVDs titled Positional Skills and Drills for Defense and Positional Skills and Drills for Offense.  These DVDs will help you: 

  • Improve footwork and approach lines
  • Learn to pressure your opponent with on-ball, intercepting and forward pressure drills
  • Create more turnovers and reduce your goals against
  • Discover innovative drills for ball control, passing, receiving and scoring
  • Improve dribbling speed, ball placement, change of direction and vision
  • Combine individual skills into high powered scoring drills
  • Tracey Griesbaum is the Head Field Hockey Coach at the University of Iowa.  Griesbaum has compiled more than 100 career wins and has guided the Hawkeyes to Back-to-Back-to-Back Big Ten Tournament Championships (’06, ’07, ’08)!  The Hawkeyes were a National Semifinalist in 2008 and ranked #8 in goals per game (3.30).  Griesbaum has also coached the USA Under-21 and Under-23 National Teams.

    Sioux Falls, Morningside Ranked #1, 5 in 2009 NAIA Football Poll!

    The University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) football program received 17 first place votes and are ranked #1 in the 2009 NAIA Football Top 25 Preseason Coaches’ Poll.  Head Coach Kalen DeBoer (2008 Schutt Coach of the Year) and Defensive Coordinator Chuck Morrell (2008 College Fanz Assistant Coach of the Year) look to repeat their 2008 season (14-0) with another NAIA championship. 

    Morningside College (IA) is ranked #5 in the Preseason Poll as they finished the 2008 season with a 10-2 record under head coach Steve Ryan.  Ryan’s squad ranked #1 in the nation in Scoring Offense (48.6 points per game) and Passing Efficiency (185.2) in 2008.  Ryan’s no huddle offense allows you to put points on the board and control the speed of the game.
