Florida Softball Ends Season as WCWS Runner-Up!

The #1 ranked Florida softball program finished the 2009 season with a 63-5 overall record and were the WCWS Runner-Up.� The 2009 team set 39 records during their first-ever run to the WCWS championship series.� Led by Tim Walton, Florida ended the season with a .323 batting average, a .543 slugging percentage and a .423 on-base percentage (all bests in the program’s history).� Three Gators recorded eight single-season records, including runs scored, home runs, and slugging percentage.
