Arizona Hires Sean Miller to Lead Men’s Basketball Program!

The University of Arizona has announced their next men’s head basketball coach – Sean Miller.  Miller is heading to Arizona after spending five seasons as head coach at Xavier, where he’s guided the Musketeers to its fourth consecutive 20-victory season and fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance last month.  Miller’s teams have won the last three A10 Conference regular-season championships and holds a 120-47 career coaching record.

Miller succeeds Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member, Lute Olson, who has an overall record of 781-280 in 37 years.  Olson spent 25 years at the University of Arizona, 9 years at the University of Iowa, and one year at Long Beach State University.  Olson was named National Coach of the Year in 1988 and 1990, and won the NCAA Division I Tournament in 1997.
