Elmar Bolowich, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at North Carolina, has advanced to the Men’s College Cup in Frisco, TX. The Tar Heels (14-7-1) will face top-seeded Wake Forest (23-1-1) in the semifinals on Friday, December 12. The winner will advance to the finals on Sunday, December 14.
Randy Waldrum guided the Notre Dame Women’s Soccer team to the 2008 College Cup final for the second time in the past three seasons, and the seventh time in program history. However, the #1 Irish squad was knocked off by #5 North Carolina 2-1 for their first loss of the season. Notre Dame finished the season with a 26-1-0 record while North Carolina finished 25-1-2.
