Maryland Wins 2008 DI Field Hockey Championship

Missy Meharg and Marybeth Freeman guided the Maryland Terrapins to the 2008 DI Field Hockey National Championship, its third title in four years! The #1 ranked Terrapins knocked off Albany, Duke (Coached by Beth Bozman), Iowa (Coached by Lisa Cellucci), and #2 ranked Wake Forest in tournament play. Maryland completed the season with a 22-2 record and also won the ACC Championship!
