Dear Coach Meyer ,I have just learned of your accident .I am glad to hear you are recovering and will pray for you to recover and to return to coaching.You have impacted so many people both from coaching as well as from your videos,cds,books,clinics,and your helping of basketball coaches by answering any questions we have .By giving of your time you have helped us to become better coaches ,better people.

Coach,

I just read about you, Don. As a former coach and player, I still have no idea what you are going through, so I won’t say I understand – I don’t.

What I do know is, you have taught and touched so many young athletes, and not only improved them on the court, you developed them into wonderful people who have in turn shone a brighter light on the world. (Sometimes, I’m sure you are the only person they actually listened to – professors and parents can only dream!).

I wish you a speedy recovery and the tenacity to shine better than ever.

My name is Kylie Burns and I play for Donnie Campbell during the summer and I am currently working on my fundamentals with him. I am very sorry about your accident and I wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how big of an inspiration you are to Coach Campbell and I would not be the player I am today without him. Thank you for being so open and helpful to Coach Campbell because he is one of the best coaches ever and he is my coach!
