Talented players usually have the biggest egos. Many of us have heard about the Sammy Sosa drama this off season, but it also occurs in little league, high school, and the collegiate level. I have a very talented player who's at a higher level than the rest of the team. Coaches, how do you deal with these great, but selfish players?

The answer to that question is one that is constantly debated. From a personal stand point, you cannot treat the superstar any differently than the weakest person on your bench. You need the team to function together if you plan to be successful. Allowing the star to dictate his or her own agenda will undermine your credibility and the happiness of your team. I hope this helps.
