Let me ask why each of you might be running a match-up zone out a 2-3 instead of simply teaching man-to-man as your base and implementing a great scramble attack out of it. M2M is much easier to teach then a match-up and a scramble causes a lot more confusion for the offense. We like to use Coach Mac's scramble attack which I believe is adapted from Arizona's program. Kids love it and we can dictate the tempo with it as well as protecting our weakest defensive players with trapping.

Could you drop me an email at jhunziker@scotland.k12.mo.us and let me know exactly what you do out of the man scramble defense. Do you run thumbs up or down? How do you protect your weakest defensive players.
